Visual designer and artist by hobby, the richness of her visual representations comes from the color, surrealism and syncretism of his native Mexico, where she lived until he settled in Holland in 2005. However her fascination for the Mexican culture, her world is not defined by lines, colours or shapes based on the strength of her origin. Pilar can be contemporary and universal; chameleonic if necessary.
Her power of observation and listening allows to capture the essence of an idea to express sensitivity, just in a feature or a complete concept with images rich in meaning and significance.
In parallel, Pilar cultivates a personal project for more than a decade: her work with paper, fantastic creatures inspired by the mythology of Mexican ethnic groups, and their hearts that sometimes have wings, other legs, eyes almost always. "We must see through the heart to see the reality," says Pilar, who assumes these creations of deep expressivity as part of an intimate and imaginative process: "everything goes through the heart."
Actually studies Experimental Art in the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerpen
